If Conditional Sentences!
If= Jika ( Andai/ pengandaian)
There are three types
Type I : Real Conditional
S + V1+O/C S+ will + V1
Ex:
The dog will bite you If you
disturb it
Anjing akan menggigit mu jika kamu mengganggunya.
Type II : Present Unreal Conditional
 |
S + V2 + O/C S+ would +V1
Ex:
If I had money, I would buy the new house
Jika saya mempunyai uang, Saya akan membeli rumah baru
Fact: I don’t
have money, so I don’t buy
new house.
Saya tidak mempunyai uang, sehingga saya tidak membeli rumah
baru.
Type III : Past Unreal Conditional

If – S+ had+ V3 – S+ would/should + have+V3
Ex:
They would have been there on
time If they had caught the earlier bus.
Mereka akan datang
di sana tepat waktu Jika mereka mendapatkan bus lebih awal.
Fact: They didn’t catch the earlier bus,
so they were not there on time.
Mereka tidak mendapatkan bus lebih awal, sehingga mereka tidak datang
disana tepat waktu.
